I first became hooked on Scott Bakula in a little sitcom in the late 80s, then he hit it big with the time travel fantasy Quantum Leap. He is aging well - into the Sam Elliot territory!
Antonio has oozed a smouldering matinee idol sex appeal since he hit English speaking screens in The Mambo Kings, Philadelphia, Desperado and Evita.
He cemented his position as living sex god in The Mask of Zorro.
He stole my heart as the sexy, cigar chomping, ever flirting Starbuck in Battlestar Galactica.
He kept it forever when he returned to our screens as the smooth, again ever flirting, con man on the run known as Faceman or Templeton Peck in The A Team.
He earned my respect with his autobiographical account of how he saved his own life and cured his prostate cancer with a radical diet.
The Clooner. To be Clooned. The man has become a saying !
As sexy Doug Ross he charmed his way across ER's small screen before deligting me by moving to a much bigger screen.
Commanding in The Peacemaker, positively smouldering in Out Of Sight, debonaire in Intolerable Cruelty, downright sex god in Oceans 11 and 12.
C'mon get Clooned !
Harmon Rabb in JAG.
Who cares about his acting talent ! Just take a look at the man !
And he can sing and play guitar as he proved in a certain episode with "Have I told you lately".
The discovery - taken straight from my blog.

OK I give in ! I am the last person in the world to discover Colin Firth ! Where have I been ? Back in Feb during the heatwave I went to an airconditioned cinema to watch Love Actually. Have always been a Hugh Grant and Richard Curtis fan so this was another of thier collaborations to check out.
So there I was, busy being mesmorised by Hugh when suddenly another man on the screen started creeping into my subconscious. By the end of the film I was wondering why I hadnt seen him in anything before !
So a few weeks later I thought it was tme I saw Bridget Jones's Diary. Initially avoided even tho it was another Hugh and Richard Curtis piece - for two reasons - I can stand Renee Zellwegger - and I really cant stand movies and books that lead the world to believe a single woman in her 30's cant possibly be leading a happy life unless she has found Mr Right - AH PHOOEEY! But now I had to get past the whole Renee thing and find out more about Mr Firth. So I watched BJD and by the end of it I adored Hugh even more in his "wicked" phase, had totally fallen for the seductive restrained glare of Firths eyes, and still couldnt stand Zellwegger !
So I mention this to Mum - who says I must be insane - Pride and Predudice has been repeated 5 or 6 times on ABC - surely I liked Firth in that ? Nope - never wanted to watch it as all those books bored me to tears in my teens. Sure enough - ABC is destined to assist Karina in her discovery of Mr Firth - along comes a repeat season of P&P. So for the past few Sundays I have fast and furiously become a Firth Fan !
My apologies for taking so long ! I have officially been seduced.

What can you say about this hunk of a man ? A career spanning more than 30 years covering every thing from action hero, romantic lead to comic relief.
He has appeared in the most iconic movies of our time as the most iconic of heros, from Han Solo to Indiana Jones to Rick Deckard to the President of the USA.
He just gets better with age and his movie Six Days Seven Nights proved he was a more than an appropriate man to have on hand when stranded in Paradise.
His roles in Witness, Mosquito Coast and Regarding Henry have been brilliantly portrayed and yet this man has NEVER won an Oscar. Who the hell does the voting ? Have they no respect for a talent whose movies are some of the highest earning blockbusters of all time.

I came across Brendan rather late in the romantic comedy Mrs Winterbourne - it was a sexy tango scene in a kitchen that did it for me and I had to immediately find more of his movies !
Since then I have enjoyed Air Heads, Blast From The Past, George of the Jungle, and of course The Mummy and its sequel.
Whats not to love about the delightful Hugh ? The ultimate hunky devilishy Brit.
From Sirens to Four Weddings and a Funeral, Notting Hill to Bridget Jones and suddenly he is playing the Prime Minister of England in Love Actually ! A personal favourite for me is About A Boy in which Hugh plays a person happy with singledom.
This man IS Baja !
He invented the whole concept !
I would like nothing more than to laze under a palm tree and listen to him play his guitar, crooning his tunes and watching him surf.
My biggest dream is that he would record the old 50's hit Corinna Corinna - but spell it my way !
Hugh is the hottest Aussie talent in a long time.
Born October 12 1968 - he is a Libran Monkey just like me !! He is happily married to actress Deborah Lee Furness who he met when acting opposite her in the ABC drama Correlli in 1995. The chemistry between the younger man and older woman was immediately obvious to those watching the show. It was also his first TV appearance and it made an impression on all of us.
I find him totally drool worthy in Kate & Leopold and was thrilled to see him perform live in The Boy From Oz Arena Spectacular.
His sexy Texan drawl first caught my attention in Boys On The Side. Since then I have come to appreciate him as a serious actor as well as a romantic comedian. I have enjoyed his performances in A Time To Kill, Contact, The Newton Boys, Edtv, The Wedding Planner and How To Lose A Guy In Ten Days.
I look forward to seeing him take on the role of my favorite action hero in the Clive Cussler novels Dirk Pitt - in the movie he is also producing - Sahara.
I didnt really become a fan of Ewans until I saw him in Little Voice. Then he stole the show in Moulin Rouge with his singing and that amazing megawattage smile. Seriously sexy and suave in Down With Love - and singing again !
Ooh and he gets to play dressups as Obi Wan Kenobi too !!
From 80's hits Youngblood and Bill & Ted he suddenly beefed up and became hunk material in Point Break and Speed. He plays the romantic in Sweet November and A Walk In The Clouds. And no I havent seen a single Matrix movie !!
At first he was the cute quirky co star in great films such as Spaceballs, Sibling Rivalry, Sleepless In Seattle & Casper. All of a sudden he is the sexy leading man in While You Were Sleeping & beefing up to play a hero President in Independence Day
I had a very early crush on Dennis in 1979 when he was in Breaking Away.
Thru the 80's he continued to star in great films like The Long Riders, The Big Easy, Suspect, Innerspace, and DOA - proving he could play sexy, dramatic and comedy.
Since then I have also enjoyed his roles in Something To Talk About and Frequency.
Lately he can be seen as an ice age hero in The Day After Tomorrow.
He blew me away with his moves in Dirty Dancing,
He took my breath away in Point Break.
He remained a huney even when he was dead in Ghost,
He sexed it up in Roadhouse, and how many guys look this damn gorgeous dressed up as a woman !
ERIC BANA: Ten years ago I laughed as Eric became one of the best comedic impersonators in Australia. I followed his career as he moved from his own short lived sketch comedy show to roles in movies such as The Castle. Nothing could have prepared me for Eric's skyrocketing move into hollywood hunkdom. From Blackhawk Down, to The Hulk and looking awfully good in Troy. Fantastic to see an Aussie stand up comedian go such a long way in a decade.
JOHN CUSACK: I loved him in the 80's movies of my teens. Class, Sixteen Candles, The Sure Thing, Stand By Me and One Crazy Summer. Currently I love him in Identity even tho it scares the pants off me - and the romantic comedy America's Sweethearts.
ROBERT DOWNEY JR: My all time favourite feel good movie is Heart and Souls and Robert steals each and every scene in it.
Headlines about his troubled life should never overtake the fact that he is an extremely talented actor. I enjoy watching him in Chaplin, Only You, and his guest appearances in Ally McBeal where he got to sing.
SHANNON NOLL: The new boy on the block. Runner up in 2003's Australian Idol. He made coming second a cool career choice. I would like to think we will see him around for a few more years to come.
SAM ELLIOTT: Some men just get sexier and sexier as they get older. Sams gravelly vocal chords will continue to ooze sex even when his looks start to fade. From Butch Cassidy & Sundance Kid, Mask, Fatal Beauty, Sibling Rivalry and Roadhouse - Sam proves no matter how small the part - he is always memorable.
KRIS KRISTOFFERSON: My mum raised me on her good taste in hunks. I think the first albums I ever listened to were by Kris. Silver Tongued Devil will be my fave forever. Mum and I have seen him twice in concert. And then there are his films. A Star is Born, Convoy and Semi Tough are my faves - but he appears in so many just to keep busy.
CHRISTOPHER ATKINS: My guilty pleasure. I adore watching him in the early 80s film The Pirate Movie. And he aged pretty damn well.

23 August 1970 to 31 October 1993
In the 80's I was convinced he was the next Harrison Ford. He played his son in Mosquito Coast and a young Indiana Jones in The Last Crusade.
He had such a depth, such a serious soul behind those eyes.
His performances in Stand By Me, Little Nikita, Running on Empty, Sneakers, and Dogfight were outstanding and will live on in my DVD collection.
So much promise, so many more performances to give us.
4 April 1979 to 22 Jan 2008
Heath was born in Perth, Western Australia and educated at the private Guildford Grammar where he was cast in the school productions of Peter Pan and Bugsy Malone.
In 1996 he was "discovered" when producers of a Perth based series "Sweat" were looking for a young surfie type. The show was axed after only a few episodes, but many of the cast, including Heath, went on to bigger and better things. He moved to Sydney and appeared in bit parts on evening soaps including Home & Away before landing the lead role in the US produced series Roar, followed by hits like Two Hands, Ten Things I Hate About You and The Patriot.
Brokeback Mountain made the world stand up and take notice.
Heath died tragically after mixing medications while unwell.
25 September 1952 to 10 October 2004.
This is how I will always remember him, sincere, tall and striking in Superman 1 and 2, sexy and sweet in Somewhere In Time.
A courageous man who achieved so much more than an ordinary actor.
Superman (It's Not Easy). Five for Fighting.
I can’t stand to fly
I’m not that naive
I’m just out to find
The better part of me
I’m more than a bird…I’m more than a plane
More than some pretty face beside a train
It’s not easy to be me
Wish that I could cry, Fall upon my knees
Find a way to lie, About a home I’ll never see
It may sound absurd…but don’t be naive
Even Heroes have the right to bleed
I may be disturbed…
but won’t you concede
Even Heroes have the
right to dream
It’s not easy
to be me
Up, up and away…away from me
It’s all right…You can all sleep sound tonight
I’m not crazy…or anything…
I can’t stand to fly
I’m not that naive
Men weren’t meant to ride
With clouds between their knees
I’m only a man in a silly red sheet
Digging for kryptonite on this one way street
Only a man in a funny red sheet
Looking for special things inside of me
It’s not easy to be me.
1 March 1910 to 29 July 1983
The ultimate english gentleman, with that devilish wicked wit.
I have all his books and they get re-read every couple of years.
One of my all time favourite movies - The Sea Wolves - featured Niven along with so many of my favourite actors - including Mr Peck below, and Roger Moore.
Other Niven favourites of mine are Candleshoe with a young Jodie Foster, Murder by Death, The Guns of Navarone, Bonjour Tristesse, Enchantment, A Matter of Life & Death, and countless 1950's romantic comedys.
5 April 1916 to 12 June 2003
A born and bred Californian - with a lovely stiff upper lip of a Brit. The true gentleman on film - and by all accounts in life too.
As with Niven - my favourite Peck role is in The Sea Wolves and his other role with Niven - The Guns of Navarone. I am ashamed to say I have never seen To Kill A Mockingbird but trust me - its on my "to do" list !!
I love Roman Holiday, The Yearling and Designing Women.
PS: in 2005 I finally watched Mockingbird !!
