Well 2006 has been a fun year. I haven't travelled anywhere at all this year - because all the shows and concerts I wanted to see actually came to Perth for a change !
So what kept me entertained this year.......
The Split Enz reunion - 22 years after I last saw them !
Dusty The Musical - a great night of talent and music.
Menopause the Musical - the funniest 90 minutes I have ever sat thru (second only to a Ben Elton stand up gig !).
Let It Be - a lovely night of Beatles songs performed by John Waters, Christine Anu, Rick Price and Leo Sayer.
The Woman in Black - a truly suspensful scarey play starring John Waters.
The Countdown Spectacular - all of my favourite singers and bands from the 70s and 80s all together in the one concert.
The Boy From Oz - Hugh Jackman didnt steal the show - he was the show ! Awesome once in a lifetime night.
Chris Isaak & Silvertone - what would my year be without a bit of my favourite boys to top it off.
We lost some inspirational people this year. The ones that affected me the most were Steve Irwin and Belinda Emmett. Both changed people worlds and minds and opinions in their own special way. Others that inspired me - because they were not lost - Todd Russell and Brant Webb. They survived several horrific weeks underground after a mine collapse and exited with their sense of humour intact.
As always, I have put my photos HERE for you to enjoy and I will continue to update my BLOG at least weekly so you know what I have been getting up to.
